Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
The road of life can be unpredictable. Sometimes it takes you exactly where you want to go. Sometimes you encounter detours and accidents. As a licensed therapist for over 25 years I’ve treated just about everything. Now I have the freedom to focus on the areas I’m really good at and the ones I really enjoy: anxiety, depression and change of life issues.
Additionally I’ve always loved teaching parenting skills and now with 2 adult children established and our relationships on firm footing I do so with credibility not just theory.
Every decade in life can be wonderful and difficult all at the same time.
I look forward to helping you find your inner strength and perhaps learn some new useful life skills. It takes courage to begin but you’ve got this!

Julie Rider brings 25 years of clinical experience to her practice in California. She frames therapy as a response to life’s unpredictable course – sometimes the path leads where you hope, and sometimes you encounter detours or sudden setbacks.
As a California-licensed marriage and family therapist, she holds CA LMFT 29228, a credential that reflects her training and authorization to provide professional therapeutic care. With an established career she now focuses her work on areas she finds most rewarding and effective – anxiety, depression, and issues related to life changes.
Teaching parenting skills has long been a professional interest for her, and now that her two children are adults and family relationships are on firmer footing, she offers that guidance with practical credibility in addition to theoretical knowledge. She recognizes that every decade of life can bring both opportunity and challenge, and she aims to help people discover their inner strength and learn useful skills to navigate those transitions. Julie encourages taking the first courageous step toward change and supports clients as they move forward.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit is flexibility – you can connect with a therapist in the format that fits your life, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility can make it easier to keep appointments and integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
All therapists offering these services are licensed professionals, and if you ever feel a different match would suit you better, you have the option to switch therapists. Online therapy can be a practical, effective way to address everyday mental health concerns while adapting to each person’s needs and schedule.
