Jessica Yetto

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in PA. I have been in the field over twenty years. I obtained my MA in Counseling in 2004. For the past seven years I have been working in a jail. I deal with patients with significant mental health diagnosis. I evaluate for suicide ideation, complete intakes and provide crisis intervention. I work with the officers to help understand the patients with mental health. As well as provide as needed counseling to officers that find a completed suicide. Prior to that I worked in a transitional housing program that also served people with significant mental health diagnosis. I have also worked as a mobile therapist, behavioral specialist consultant and was supervisor of a family support program.
Due to the environment I currently work in I mainly utilize a solution-based focus therapy. Besides the patients with severe mental health, there are numerous patients with increased anxiety and depression. It is very focused on appropriate coping skills for the situation. I collaborate regularly with the CRNP and PA to address medication and physical concerns.
I would enjoy the change of meeting with people outside of the jail setting. The therapy I can do there is limited, I would like to be able to expand more and work with a more diverse population of patients/clients.

About

Jessica Yetto is a Pennsylvania-licensed professional counselor with 25 years of experience in the mental health field. She earned a Master of Arts in Counseling in 2004 and has developed extensive clinical skills across a range of settings.

For the past seven years she has worked inside a jail, providing care to patients with significant mental health diagnoses. In that role she conducts intake assessments, evaluates suicide ideation, offers crisis intervention, and provides short-term counseling as needed. She also collaborates closely with correctional officers to help them understand and manage individuals with mental health challenges, and she offers support to officers who encounter a completed suicide.

Earlier in her career she worked in a transitional housing program serving people with substantial mental health needs. She has also served as a mobile therapist, a behavioral specialist consultant, and a supervisor of a family support program, gaining experience with diverse clinical populations and systems of care.

Because of the demands of her current setting, she primarily utilizes solution-based focus therapy, emphasizing practical coping skills tailored to the situation. Her work often addresses severe mental health concerns as well as elevated anxiety and depression, and she routinely coordinates with a CRNP and a PA to address medication and physical health matters.

Jessica is interested in expanding her practice beyond the jail setting to offer more comprehensive therapy and to work with a broader and more diverse group of clients. She approaches that goal with a commitment to practical, skills-based interventions and collaborative care.

Is Online Therapy the Right Choice for Your Mental Health Needs?

Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adjusting to life transitions, remote therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most individuals.

A major benefit of online work is flexibility – clients can connect with their therapist using the method that fits their life best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to keep consistent appointments and integrate mental health care into a busy schedule.

Therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and clients may choose to switch providers if they feel a different fit would be helpful. For many people, online therapy provides a convenient, accessible way to address common mental health concerns and build practical coping skills with a qualified clinician.
