Jeremy “Jer” Case (he/they) is a licensed counselor based in Missouri who works with clients across the lifespan while focusing primarily on adolescents and adults. He has five years of clinical experience supporting people facing depression, anxiety, ADHD and autism-related challenges, trauma and abuse, sleep difficulties, stress, spiritual or religious concerns, and a range of other issues. He has specific experience working with youth and adults in LGBTQ+ and polyamorous communities and aims to provide an affirming, welcoming therapeutic space for people from every part of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum - not only as an ally but as a member of these communities.
Jer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling, both from Ottawa University. He is licensed to provide mental health therapy services in both Missouri and Oklahoma as a professional counselor.
He is a United States Navy veteran and identifies as an Indigenous American, belonging to the Ottawa (Adawe) Tribe of Oklahoma. Those lived experiences inform his perspective and approach to care.
Jer integrates a variety of evidence-based and experiential methods into his work, including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness-based practices, Internal Family Systems, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and life coaching. He is also trained in energy healing modalities and is a Certified Reiki Master, and he offers spiritual counseling as a non-religious ordained minister through the Universal Life Church.
Jer believes mental and behavioral health services should be accessible to everyone who seeks them. He emphasizes the importance of being understood by one’s provider, especially for people directly affected by political, social, or environmental injustices. He affirms that Black, Asian, Native, LGBTQ+, and trans lives matter and supports caring for the planet as our shared home.
He would be honored to assist people in navigating life’s transitions, discovering purpose, and overcoming barriers. Prospective clients are encouraged to reach out and begin the process of working together.
Many people wonder whether virtual therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or major life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
One major advantage is the increased flexibility it offers. Clients can choose the mode of connection that suits them best - video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging - which often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
All therapists providing online services are licensed professionals, and if a different therapeutic fit is needed, clients generally have the option to switch providers at any time.
