Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Jennifer L. Segura, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Texas. I have been a counselor for 16 years, dedicating my services to helping children. In the last three years I have had the privilege of expanding my expertise to include obtaining my LPC and working with adults in different settings and stages of life. No matter the age, when we experience difficulties in our lives brought upon by divorce, career changes, grief, or traumas I feel that we don’t always have the resources or coping sills needed to deal with these challenges. I applaud you for your courage and taking a step in a positive direction to seek help!
My approach to counseling is being present/listening and providing a nonjudgmental space to help you grow and heal by addressing your needs. I am very client-centered and believe you do have the power to reach your fullest potential/life goals, but my approach is that it may also take work/commitment and learning how to change thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. My counseling methods may also include cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, solution-focused, psychoeducational and mindfulness.
I do enjoy practicing what I preach and taking mindful walks and meditation minutes. I believe self-care is essential in our busy lives, we need to embrace the practice and not allow ourselves to be shamed by embracing what we need. I would like to help you lead a more fulfilling life.
I specialize in the following areas:
• Anxiety (social, generalized)
• Adjustment Issues/Disorders
• Trauma & Stress Related Concerns
• Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity
• Problems related to family/interpersonal relationships
I would be grateful to work with you and grateful that you found the courage to seek help!

Jennifer Segura is a state-licensed professional counselor based in Texas with 16 years of experience in the field, primarily dedicated to working with children. Over the past three years she expanded her work by obtaining her professional counseling license and began serving adults across different settings and stages of life.
She recognizes that life transitions such as divorce, career changes, grief, or traumatic events can leave people without the resources or coping skills they need. She welcomes those who take the courageous step to seek help and approaches therapy with presence, attentive listening, and a nonjudgmental environment designed to support growth and healing.
Her work is client-centered and grounded in the belief that individuals have the capacity to achieve their goals, though reaching one’s fullest potential often requires commitment and learning new ways to shift thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. Her therapeutic methods may include cognitive-behavioral strategies, dialectical behavioral techniques, solution-focused approaches, psychoeducational work, and mindfulness practices.
Segura models the practices she encourages by making time for mindful walks and brief meditation pauses, and she emphasizes that self-care is essential rather than something to be shamed. She aims to help people build coping skills and lead more fulfilling lives.
Her areas of specialization include social and generalized anxiety, adjustment issues and disorders, trauma and stress-related concerns, attention deficit/hyperactivity, and problems related to family and interpersonal relationships. She welcomes the opportunity to work with individuals who have taken the step to seek support.
