Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Thank you for your interest and congratulations in taking the first steps in reaching your goals and making the changes you want to make!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in the states of Georgia and Washington and live in GA so I am in the EDT timezone. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, work related stress, parenting challenges, ADHD, and Autism.
I believe that counseling can provide education, support and a plan for the direction you would like to go. Therapy is a safe place where you can explore many emotions, fears and patterns of behavior that are preventing you from healing yourself and living a life where you are content and at peace. Any answers you need about how to live the life that is going to bring you fulfillment, joy and peace, are within you. Healing requires action. You can heal yourself with some bold and decisive moves. Counseling can provide a plan of action. If you are dealing with life transitions, stress, depression or anxiety, it is time to get real with yourself and deal with anything that isn’t serving you. Commit to feeding thoughts, words and actions that are going to lead to joy and growth.
My approach is primarily Cognitive Behavioral. This simply means that as we discuss what brings you to therapy I may focus on the two things. First the cognitive piece: what are you thinking or what are thoughts/beliefs that you have that aren’t working for you and how do we change those. Then, the behavioral piece: what are things you keep doing that’s not working for you and how do we change those. I am a support person for you as you determine what your goals are and we develop a plan on how to get there.
I look forward to working with you!

Dr. Jennifer McGee welcomes people who are ready to take steps toward their goals and make meaningful changes. She encourages clients to recognize the courage it takes to begin the therapeutic process and offers practical support to help them move forward.
She is a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed to practice in both Georgia and Washington and lives in Georgia, which places her work hours in the Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) zone. Over the course of 12 years she has worked with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, work-related stress, parenting challenges, ADHD, and autism.
Dr. McGee views counseling as a combination of education, support, and a clear plan for the direction a client wants to take. In therapy she creates a space where people can explore emotions, fears, and behavioral patterns that may be blocking healing and a sense of peace. She believes that many of the answers clients seek are already within them, and that recovery and growth require intentional action supported by a practical plan.
Her approach is primarily cognitive behavioral – she often begins by identifying thoughts and beliefs that are not serving the client, then moves to the behavioral work of changing actions and habits that reinforce those patterns. Throughout the process she acts as a supportive partner, helping clients define goals and build a step-by-step plan to reach them.
She looks forward to working with clients who are ready to commit to thoughts, words, and actions that foster joy and growth.
For many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. People often find that virtual counseling provides comparable outcomes for these everyday mental health needs.
One of the primary benefits is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that fits their life, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to attend sessions regularly and to integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
All therapists offering online care are licensed professionals, and clients can request a different therapist anytime if they want an alternative fit. Online therapy can be a practical option for those who need accessible, consistent support while managing other responsibilities.
