Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters Degree from Columbia University in New York, NY. I worked in psychiatric Emergency Rooms and on inpatient psychiatric units. I have been providing outpatient therapy for the past nine years.
I have extensive experience working with couples as well as individuals. I feel like communication is the key to success. Changing communication styles can radically change relationships. I have worked with an array of disorders which include, but not limited to anxiety, PTSD, depression, relationship issues, gender issues, parenting and co-parenting. I tend to use an eclectic approach to therapy, as it is in my belief that no two clients should be looked at the same. I integrate CBT, DBT and the psychodynamic approach.
And lastly, over the past nine years, I have been working with couples and families. I find it fascinating that individuals can have gone through the same event and will interpret the event differently. It has been in my experience that when an outside, unbiased sounding board is introduced, real change can happen.

Jennifer Brown is a licensed independent clinical social worker who brings a decade of clinical experience to her therapeutic work. She earned a Master of Arts from Columbia University in New York and began her clinical career working in psychiatric emergency rooms and on inpatient psychiatric units before moving into outpatient care.
For the past nine years she has provided outpatient therapy to both individuals and couples, and she has spent the last nine years focusing extensively on couples and family work. Jennifer believes that shifting how people communicate can produce profound changes in relationships, and she emphasizes clear, effective communication as a key to progress.
Her practice addresses a wide range of concerns including anxiety, PTSD, depression, relationship challenges, gender-related issues, and parenting and co-parenting difficulties. She uses an eclectic, individualized approach rather than a one-size-fits-all model, drawing on cognitive-behavioral techniques, dialectical behavior strategies, and psychodynamic ideas to match the needs of each person or family she treats.
Jennifer values serving as an impartial, informed sounding board for clients, noting that people who experience the same event can interpret it very differently. Introducing an outside perspective, she finds, often opens the door to meaningful change. She is licensed to practice as an independent clinical social worker in Massachusetts.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes – online therapy can be an effective alternative to traditional in-person sessions. Research and clinical experience indicate that, for these typical issues, remote therapy is comparable in effectiveness to face-to-face work.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can connect with licensed professionals in the format that suits them best – video appointments, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Another advantage is the ability to change providers if a different therapeutic fit is desired. Each therapist is a licensed professional, and clients are free to switch to someone else if they feel a different approach would be more helpful.
Online therapy offers a practical, accessible option for addressing many everyday mental health and relationship concerns while maintaining the same professional standards expected of in-person care.
