Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Welcome for the opportunity to get to know you. Reaching out for help is a healthy approach to navigate through life. Initially licensed in VA as a professional counselor, I am currently licensed in SC as an LPC, and in NC as an LCMHC. My experiences have been broad and extensive as I have worked in private practice for the last 13 years and prior to private practice I worked home with families, couples, and individuals in my office and online . I have completed three levels of training in the Gottman Model, a researched model for marriage and couples counseling. My experience as a LPC/LCMHC, and my life experience as a wife of 40 plus years, mother of 2 and grandmother of 8 has enriched my life to work with wisdom gleaned from “real life.” I would like to meet you and help you move through the journey of your life.

About

Jane Fortune welcomes the opportunity to get to know new clients and supports people who reach out for help as they navigate life.

She brings 20 years of clinical experience to her work and has practiced in private practice for the last 13 years. Before establishing private practice, she worked directly with families, couples, and individuals in their homes, in her office, and through online sessions.

Jane is licensed to practice counseling in South Carolina and holds additional licensure in North Carolina; she was initially licensed in Virginia as a professional counselor. She has completed three levels of training in the Gottman Model, a research-based approach to marriage and couples therapy.

Her professional training is complemented by long experience in family life – she has been married for more than 40 years, is a mother of two, and a grandmother of eight – and she draws on both clinical knowledge and lived experience to guide her work.

Jane looks forward to meeting clients and helping them move forward through the journeys of their lives.

Is Online Therapy the Right Choice for Your Mental Health Journey?

Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions. A major benefit of remote therapy is flexibility – clients can choose the format that fits their lives best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This makes it easier to schedule care around work, family, and other commitments. Licensed professionals provide online care, and clients have the option to change therapists if they want a different fit. Overall, online therapy offers a practical and evidence-supported way to address many everyday mental health and relationship concerns.
