Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am an MNCPS accredited counsellor working from the beautiful, Dartington Estate in South Devon. I am also a member of the BACP, hold an enhanced DBS & Level 3 certificate in Safeguarding.
Counselling increases our self awareness. Whether you are feeling stuck, have an important decision to make or are looking to work through a specific experience, finding the right person to talk to is a great first step.
Spending time in a safe, confidential and non judgemental space, can help you to look at things in a different light.
The therapeutic relationship we create should hold us in such a way that enables curiosity and discovery. This is why it’s so important to find the right counsellor.
Your counselling journey is as individual as you are.
Some clients find they only need a few sessions whereas others find long term support beneficial. We can review our work together at an agreed time to make sure that you are getting what you need from the sessions and to ensure we are going at a pace that suits you.
I understand what it feels like to be anxious and to feel out of place in the world and I can truly empathise when clients express feelings of anxiety, loneliness, fear, or uncertainty.
My training was integrative, although I primarily use a person centred approach, especially when we start our sessions together. As our work evolves, we can bring in CBT techniques or Gestalt therapy which focuses on the here and now, bringing new awareness to whatever current issues you are facing.
I also have a personal interest in neurodiversity, which partly came about through my own family’s journey to diagnosis and also through working with young people.

Jaime Van Weede is an MNCPS accredited counsellor working from the Dartington Estate in South Devon. She is a member of the BACP, holds an enhanced DBS (a detailed criminal records check) and a Level 3 certificate in Safeguarding.
Jaime believes counselling helps increase self-awareness and supports people who feel stuck, face difficult decisions, or wish to process specific experiences. Spending time in a safe, non-judgemental space can open up new ways of seeing familiar problems and offer fresh perspective.
She aims to build a therapeutic relationship that supports curiosity and discovery, and sees the fit between client and counsellor as an important part of that work. Each counselling journey is individual – some people find only a few sessions helpful while others benefit from longer term support – and Jaime reviews progress with clients at agreed points to make sure the pace and focus remain appropriate.
Jaime understands what it feels like to experience anxiety and to feel out of place, and she can empathise when clients describe feelings of anxiety, loneliness, fear or uncertainty.
Her training was integrative, and she primarily uses a person-centred approach when sessions begin. As therapy develops she can introduce cognitive behavioural techniques or Gestalt work, which concentrates on the here and now to bring new awareness to current issues.
She also has a personal interest in neurodiversity, informed by her own family’s journey to diagnosis and by her experience working with young people.
