Jacqueline "Jacky" Ellis is a degree-educated integrative counsellor based in the United Kingdom who draws on several therapeutic approaches to support people through change.
She works psychodynamically to explore early trauma, from a humanistic perspective to help people discover and live more authentically, and using cognitive behavioural techniques to address patterns of thinking and behaviour.
With over 3 years of experience, Jacky also volunteers at an addiction centre. Her practice covers a wide range of mental health issues, including bipolar disorder, dissociative disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, low mood and confidence, grief and loss, neurodivergence, trauma bonding, identity and belonging concerns, addiction and matters related to adoption.
Jacky is specialist trained in adoption, having completed an adoption course that equips her to work across adoption-related areas. She aims to offer empathy, warmth and practical support in a non-judgmental way, working alongside people as they explore the changes they want to make - a process she describes as both empowering and thought-provoking.
For further information about her services, Jacky is listed on Counselling Directory and Psychology Today, and she is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
