She is licensed to practice as a marriage and family therapist in both California and Montana, and has provided individual and group therapy in office and online settings, with a primary focus on outpatient treatment.

She has experience working with clients facing depression, drug and alcohol addiction, chronic homelessness, veteran and military-related issues, relationship problems, parenting concerns, and childhood-related trauma.
Ida’s training includes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through Behavioral Health Services in San Diego, substance abuse training with Palomar Family Counseling Service, Inc., and Emotionally Focused Therapy training through Alliant International University in San Diego. She is licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and the Montana Board of Behavioral Health.
She approaches each client without judgment and values being part of the healing process. Ida recognizes the courage it takes to seek help and aims to collaborate with clients as a supportive partner in their work toward change.
Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, research and practice have found that online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and to access support from different locations.
All therapists offering these services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they are seeking a different fit. For many people, online therapy provides a practical and effective route to getting help for everyday mental health concerns.
