Gregory "Greg" Dunford

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

I have been counseling and coaching for nearly 3 decades with a compassionate, trauma-informed, diverse, client-led approach. I specialize in practical, research-based support, tools, therapeutic and educational services to help clients navigate and explore their unique, individual paths in self-discovery, healing, and growth, becoming conscious, sovereign, integrated beings, individually and in their relationships. I use solution-based brief therapy, CBT, DBT, IFS, Jungian Psychology, and many other modalities. I have also been trained in sexual addiction and betrayal trauma. I love exploring relationship challenges and helping clients re-imagine their relationships and giving them the tools and practices to re-create healthy, generative, sustainable relationships of all kinds.
I specialize in:
• Creating Healthy Relationships of all types, including:
Dating, Pre-Marital, Marriage/Partnerships,
ENM/CNM, Family, Friends, Colleagues/Co-workers, etc.
• Faith Crises/Faith Transitions & Religious Trauma
• Mixed-Faith Relationships
• Sexual Shame Recovery
• LGBTQ+ Affirming
• Discovering Healthy Sexuality (sex-positive approach)
• Depression & Anxiety
• Trauma
• Grief
• Anger Management & Emotional Regulation
• Somatic Work & Mindfulness
I have been married to my best friend for 38 years and have 6 kids. We lost our oldest son on a 4-wheeler accident 13 years ago. Learning from my own grief, I have helped many clients manage their way through grief. My partner, Julie and I have also navigated through mental health challenges in our family, addictions, co-dependency, faith transitions, and a mixed-faith marriage, amongst life’s other challenges, giving us opportunities to learn, grow, and have increased compassion for others.
I love outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, walking, boating, pickleball, l horseback riding, etc! In my teens I was fortunate enough to travel to Israel where I lived and worked on a kibbutz; Hawaii, where I worked in pineapple fields; I worked on a salmon rig in Alaska; studied Spanish in Mexico in college; and served a two-year mission for my church helping others. I was a high school teacher for 20 years, ran a ranch for troubled teen boys, then a girls ranch, and opened a bakery and deli with my family, along with 28 years of counseling and running addiction groups for last 12 years.
Throughout all of this, I have had the honor of working with my clients, witnessing their journeys, and sharing tools to ultimately help them navigate life’s challenges. My extensive and diverse life experiences have taught me so much and given me greater empathy and insight for people and a broad range of challenges. Life is hard and we need connection and shared wisdom to find healing and peace. I’m grateful to those who have been there for me, and for the privilege to be there for others.

Is Online Therapy the Right Choice for Your Mental Health Journey?

Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or navigating life changes, evidence shows that remote therapy is often as effective as traditional in-person care. It can be a practical option for addressing everyday mental health needs.

A major benefit of online therapy is flexibility – clients can meet with a therapist in the format that fits their life, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it simpler to maintain continuity of care when schedules or circumstances change.

Work is provided by licensed professionals, and individuals may switch therapists if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. For many people, remote therapy offers an accessible, evidence-informed way to work on symptoms, relationships, and life transitions without sacrificing the quality of care.
