Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello,
Thank you for logging in to my profile.
It’s likely that you have arrived here because you are seeking help or support dealing with some of life’s difficulties.
I appreciate that deciding to seek help and then contacting a therapist can feel like a big and daunting step. Whether that is to deal with anxiety, depression, confusion or unhappiness. Or perhaps it might be a feeling that your life has little meaning, you’re lonely, or you lack a sense of direction. Or was there something else?
I am an integrative therapeutic counsellor.
I develop a working relationship with my clients which is exploratory and supportive. Working together we employ different approaches depending on your needs. This could include;
person centred – developing a supportive relationship to explore your story and feelings and enable you to build a strong sense of self. Building your self confidence and esteem
psychodynamic – looking at your history and how that is impacting you in the present
cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) – looking at the causes of your problematic issues and then being very solution focussed
somatic – physical grounding, sensing and breathing techniques
I tailor the therapy to fit you the client.
I began working as a body work professional thirty three years ago. I counselled my first talking therapy clients twenty four years ago. It’s in the last four years that I have started to offer an integration of these areas.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their comprehensive code of ethics.
I hold a CPCAB level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I also have a British Wheel of Yoga Teaching Diploma in Yoga, and I am Cerificated by The Minded Institute in integrating Yoga Therapy into Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
If you decide to choose to work with me I look forward to it.

Gideon Reeve welcomes visitors to his profile and recognises that arriving here often means someone is seeking support with life’s difficulties.
He understands that deciding to seek help and contacting a therapist can feel like a significant and sometimes daunting step. People come for support with anxiety, depression, confusion or unhappiness, or because life feels lacking in meaning, they feel lonely or unsure of their direction.
Gideon is an integrative therapeutic counsellor who builds an exploratory and supportive working relationship with clients. He adapts his approach to match individual needs, drawing on person-centred work to help explore a person’s story and feelings and to strengthen self-confidence and esteem, psychodynamic ideas to consider how past experiences affect the present, cognitive behavioural techniques to identify causes and take a solution-focused approach, and somatic practices that use grounding, sensing and breathing exercises.
He customises therapy to fit each client rather than following a one-size-fits-all plan.

Many people wonder whether online therapy can make a meaningful difference. For common challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or adapting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person work for most typical concerns.
An important advantage is flexibility – you can connect in the way that suits you best, whether by video call, a phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. This flexibility can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Licensed professionals deliver online therapy, and if someone feels another therapist would be a better match they can switch at any time. For many people seeking help with everyday mental health and relationship issues, online therapy provides a practical and effective option.
