Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello,
I am qualified and accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I’m fully insured and have a current DBS.
I offer an unbiased, safe space, to think about your life – your past, present, future and relationships.
Some of my clients have said that they benefited from talking to someone that wasn’t connected to them. It was easier to talk to someone that was impartial and not a friend or family member.
Are you feeling stressed, unhappy and depressed? Counselling might be helpful if you are feeling tearful, emotional and find you are thinking negatively. If you are feeling overwhelmed or stuck and unable to move forward then maybe it’s time to explore any underlying issues that could be affecting your life.
Do you find you are falling back into unhealthy habits? Do you feel your emotions are out of control and you’re easily upset, overwhelmed or frustrated?
If you are feeling as though you need to talk to someone then get in touch and we can see if we can work together.
Counselling offers a therapeutic relationship and the space and opportunity to discover more about yourself.
I work with individuals and couples.

Emma James is a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited therapist practising in the United Kingdom with 10 years’ experience. She is fully insured and holds a current DBS certificate.
She provides an unbiased, safe space for people to reflect on their lives – past, present and future – and to consider their relationships. Some clients have reported that speaking with an impartial professional felt easier than talking to a friend or family member.
Emma works with people experiencing stress, anxiety, depression and related difficulties, including those who feel tearful, emotional or prone to negative thinking. When someone feels overwhelmed, stuck or unable to move forward, she helps explore underlying issues that may be affecting daily life. She also supports clients who are returning to unhealthy habits or who feel their emotions are hard to manage – easily upset, overwhelmed or frustrated.
Counselling with Emma offers a therapeutic relationship and the space to learn more about oneself. She works with individuals and couples, and provides therapy both in private practice and for the NHS Wellbeing Service (IAPT) where she sees clients for short-term counselling.
Her qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, a Diploma and Advanced Diploma from a BACP-accredited course, EMDR module 1 training, Rewind Therapy and a couples counselling certificate. She is a Professional Accredited Member of the BACP, registration number 155179.
Many people wonder whether therapy delivered remotely can genuinely help. For common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
Remote therapy also offers practical flexibility. You can connect with a therapist in the way that suits you best – via video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging – making it easier to fit support into a busy life.
All therapists involved are licensed professionals, and if you decide the fit isn’t right you can switch to another therapist at any time. For those balancing work, family or mobility constraints, online therapy can be a convenient option to access professional support without needing to attend face-to-face appointments.
