Hello and welcome to BetterHelp, I’m glad you’re here! I’m Emily Gallagher LISW-S and I’m licensed in Ohio to provide therapy. I specialize in working with women, couples and parents affected by trauma. As much as you’re willing to, we can explore how past trauma is playing out in your current difficulties in relationships, at work and personally. I’ve worked with many struggling marriages and slowly I’ve seen some marriages change. A new hope could well up in your marriage and family soon. I also specialize in working with women individually, who are experiencing anxiety. Now more than ever women have been experiencing anxiety symptoms and hopefully together, we can alleviate these symptoms.
I am married and have four school aged children. I’ve been working with women, couples and parents for 18 years.

Emily Gallagher is an Ohio-licensed independent social worker with supervisory credentials who brings 18 years of experience supporting women, couples, and parents affected by trauma. She focuses on understanding how past traumatic experiences may be shaping current challenges in relationships, at work, and in everyday life.
Emily has worked with many struggling marriages and has observed gradual shifts that can lead to renewed hope within a partnership and family system. She also provides individual work with women coping with anxiety, aiming to ease anxious symptoms and improve daily functioning.
She is married and is the parent of four school-aged children. Emily offers daytime video and chat sessions only on Wednesdays and Thursdays – if daytime sessions do not fit a client’s schedule, she recommends matching with another therapist.
Clients may reach out when convenient, and Emily will respond within 24 hours. She looks forward to the opportunity to work together to help make life better in meaningful ways.
