Emanuela Bassi is a counsellor and psychotherapist based in Australia who has worked in the field since 2018, bringing seven years of clinical experience.
She has experience supporting both adults and children and has worked extensively with trauma, anxiety, depression and other mental health struggles.
Her approach is person-centred, trauma-informed and deeply relational. She understands that many psychological difficulties arise from relational patterns, and she believes those same relationships offer the place where issues can be explored, processed and reorganised differently.
People sometimes change themselves to fit in with others, which can increase distress and a sense of isolation. In therapy with Emanuela, the therapeutic relationship is intended to be a safe space to practise more authentic and spontaneous ways of being until clients feel able to bring their real self into relationships and into the world.
She is passionate about conversations around isolation, whether it is social or coming from within. If someone feels disconnected from themselves and others, they do not have to face it alone; they can contact Emanuela Bassi to begin.
Many people ask whether online therapy can make a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One key advantage is flexibility - you can choose the mode of connection that suits you best, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Each therapist you work with is a licensed professional, and you have the option to switch therapists at any time if you feel a different fit would be better. For many people, online therapy offers an accessible and practical way to get support for everyday mental health concerns.
