Elizabeth Eugea recognizes the courage it takes to begin counseling and the anxiety that can come with reaching out to a stranger. She offers supportive, empowering care to help clients move toward a more satisfying life.
She is licensed in Illinois as a clinical professional counselor, an advanced counseling credential (license 180.000826). With 38 years of experience in the counseling field, she has assisted people facing a broad range of challenges including ADHD, abuse and domestic violence, anger, anxiety, depression, panic and panic attacks, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, stress, life changes and transitions, and work-related or career issues. Elizabeth provides individual, couple, and family counseling for people ages 7 through 99, and she has particular experience working with teachers, nurses, and survivors of domestic violence.
When skills are part of the obstacle, she teaches practical therapeutic life skills to help clients manage everyday problems - equipping people with tools for their “life skills toolbox.” Her work draws on evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavior therapy, applied from a person-centered, humanistic perspective.
Elizabeth approaches therapy with empathy and compassion, without judgment, and aims to provide a peaceful, respectful, and encouraging environment where clients can explore the issues that interfere with their goals. She believes in each person’s capacity to grow and progress and is committed to joining clients on the journey toward greater peace and fulfillment.
