Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello – I’m Elaine. I’ve been a therapist for 11 years. I’m an integrative practitioner, which means I will work alongside you to find an approach that makes sense to you. Each course of therapy I deliver is unique, just as everyone I am privileged enough to work with is unique.
Over the course of my career, I have developed a special interest in working with clients who have experienced trauma. You may not consider yourself to have experienced trauma, but if you have ever endured a situation in which you felt helpless or powerless, you have. Bereavement, loss, relationship breakdown, attachment difficulties, abuse, injury, illness, panic, anxiety, pervasive low mood…all of these things can be traumatic in the human experience.
I am licensed to practice therapy in the UK and registered with the BACP. I offer a safe space in which you can expect to be treated with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes great courage. I would be delighted to support you in that process.

Elaine Buckton has been a therapist for 11 years and works as an integrative practitioner, collaborating with people to identify therapeutic approaches that make sense for them. She tailors each course of therapy so that it reflects the individuality of every person she works with.
Across her career Elaine has developed a particular interest in supporting people who have experienced trauma. She recognises that trauma is not always obvious – any experience in which a person felt helpless or powerless can be traumatic. Bereavement and loss, relationship breakdown, attachment difficulties, abuse, injury, illness, panic, anxiety and pervasive low mood are among the human experiences she often addresses.

Many people wonder whether online therapy really helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – people can connect with a therapist in whatever format suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Therapists offering online work are licensed professionals, and if someone decides they would prefer to try a different therapist they have the option to switch. Online therapy can therefore provide an accessible, adaptable route to getting professional support for everyday mental health concerns.
