Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Thankyou for reading my profile. It is difficult to convey my work in few paragraphs. I have been counseling since 1998 when I completed my first master’s degree in Counseling. I later earned a second masters in Clinical Social Work.
I understand that change is not easy and I know that no single approach to change works for everyone. With this in mind, I am willing to draw upon a number of modalities. I use techniques from mindfulness and gratitude along with traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Reality Therapy to develop a plan of growth.
I am always in partnership, working alongside the client and family as we move towards health. I believe that the client is the authority or expert with regard to their goals and needs. I follow the client’s lead in developing those goals while offering my expertise in creating a successful plan. I also believe that focusing on a whole person strength-based relationship contributes to a solid base of trust and acceptance. With this solid therapeutic relationship established, the client can feel safe to be authentic and vulnerable.

Deborah Osborn has been counseling since 1998, beginning her practice after earning a master’s degree in Counseling and later completing a second master’s in Clinical Social Work. Over 25 years, she has developed a collaborative approach to helping people in Idaho pursue change and greater well-being.
Recognizing that change is rarely easy and that one method does not suit everyone, she draws on a variety of techniques tailored to each person. Her work incorporates mindfulness and gratitude alongside cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and reality therapy to create individualized plans for growth.
Osborn describes her role as a partner in the therapeutic process, working alongside individuals and families while respecting that clients are the experts on their own goals and needs. She follows each client’s lead when setting objectives, while offering professional guidance to shape a practical and effective plan.
She favors a whole-person, strength-based approach that builds a solid foundation of trust and acceptance. With that therapeutic relationship in place, clients can feel supported in being authentic and exploring vulnerability as part of healing.
Osborn is licensed to practice clinical social work in both West Virginia and Idaho; her licensure is listed as WV LICSW dp00943338 and ID LCSW LCSW-35651. She brings 25 years of clinical experience to her work in Idaho.
