My primary therapeutic approach is called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This approach is useful in addressing how you think, feel, and behave. It is my belief that how we think, makes us feel, and we behave accordingly. My goal is to address your life’s struggles with strategies that allow you to be more empowered to maintain changes (i.e. healthier thinking, feeling, and behaving), reach goals, and feel less overwhelmed with all of the things that are going on in your world.

With eleven years of clinical experience, he works with people facing a range of challenges including stress, anxiety, depression, attention-related concerns such as ADHD and ADD, oppositional behaviors like ODD, parenting worries, relationship difficulties, and trouble with adjustment and problem solving. He also addresses issues related to self-esteem, family conflict, trauma and abuse, anger management, career struggles, bipolar disorder, compassion fatigue, and provides coaching support.
He is a licensed professional counselor in South Carolina, holding the state license SC LPC 6131, and he emphasizes practical, skills-based work that helps clients manage thoughts, emotions, and behavior. Cory’s primary method is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an approach that focuses on how thinking patterns influence feelings and actions. His aim is to help clients adopt strategies that promote healthier thinking, steadier emotions, and more effective behaviors so changes are sustainable and goals become achievable.
