Cletus “Clete” Deller is a Florida-based Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with 25 years of clinical experience and holds license MH10772.
He began his professional career as a teacher and applies Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) alongside Action and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He is not a talk-only therapist - he focuses on immediate, concrete changes that can improve daily functioning.
He holds two graduate degrees, an MS in Psychology and Counseling and an MBA, and he also completed a postgraduate certification in Forensic Psychology and earned certification as a Sexual Therapist.
His clinical emphasis is on trauma, anxiety, addiction, and the impact of Narcissistic and Borderline relationships. He is trained and certified in the evidence-based scientific treatments for both PTSD and CPTSD, and maintains additional certifications in Addiction, Anger Management, Anxiety, Complex Trauma, Grief, Narcissistic Abuse, and Borderline Treatment (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy).
He is not a Christian counselor, but he is a counselor who is a Christian; when requested he can combine scientifically validated approaches with spiritual elements, with the goal of crafting the right plan for the person seeking help.
He presents as nonjudgmental, empathetic, patient, and understanding, and he brings personal experience with narcissistic and borderline relationships, addiction, and trauma to his work.

Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most people.
One major advantage is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that works best for them, whether by video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Therapists offering these services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch to a different therapist if they want a different fit.
Overall, online therapy can be a practical and effective route for addressing everyday mental health concerns while providing options that adapt to a client’s life and needs.
