Dr. Carolyn Greenleaf

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas. I’ve worked as psychotherapist and crisis interventionist in the Dallas Metro area since 1979. I work with clients presenting with a broad range of issues, including depression, anxiety, childhood abuse, marital and family problems, trauma and stress disorders, post-trautic adjustment disorders, and bereavement.

My counseling style is interactive and straight forward. Person-centered and cognitive behavioral theories of psychotherapy are my primary approaches to treatment. Person-centered therapy is used to build and maintain a healthy therapeutic relationship and cognitiv behavioral therapy is used to explore and expose destructive self-defeating thinking and coping behaviors. I also believe humor is the “spoonful of sugar” that helps the medicine go down.

Clients tell me I am a kind person. I appreciate that because I genuinely care about others and want to help them when I can.

Is Online Therapy the Right Choice for Your Mental Health Journey?

Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparably effective to traditional in-person care for most people. A major benefit of remote sessions is flexibility – individuals can connect in the way that feels most comfortable, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to integrate therapy into a busy schedule and to maintain continuity of care when life gets complicated. All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they need a different fit. For many people seeking support with everyday mental health and relationship concerns, online therapy offers an accessible and effective pathway to the help they want.
