About Me
Hi, my name is Carol Britt. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Pennsylvania. I have been counseling for over 25 years and enjoy working with clients that are courageous enough to seek assistance due to struggles in their lives. My therapeutic style is person centered, that is, helping my clients see changes that they might make in life, or work on issues that are causing pain and need coping skills to bring peace, or clients that just need to vent about everyday situations that are causing them distress and are in need to find heathy ways to cope. Carol Britt is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania (PA LPC PC003949) with 26 years of clinical experience. She works with adults who seek support for a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship and family conflicts, grief, self-esteem challenges, trauma and abuse, intimacy-related issues, eating disorders, parenting difficulties, anger management, coping with life changes, and ADHD.
Her counseling style is person-centered, focusing on helping individuals recognize possible changes, develop practical coping skills, and address sources of pain. She also provides space for clients who need to process daily stressors and find healthier ways to manage distress.
Carol draws on more than two decades in the field to support people through life adjustments, caregiving strains, living alone, and marital issues. She values working with people who take the courageous step of asking for help and partners with them to identify goals and build strategies that promote greater calm and resilience.
Many people wonder whether remote counseling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and navigating life transitions, online therapy has been found to be similarly effective to traditional in-person care for most people.
An important advantage of online therapy is flexibility. Individuals can choose the mode of connection that fits their needs and comfort level – video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging – which often makes it easier to incorporate therapy into a busy schedule.
Licensed professionals provide these services, and if someone feels another therapist would be a better fit, it is possible to switch. Online therapy can be a practical option for those seeking evidence-based support for everyday mental health challenges and life changes.
