Carmen Roberts is a UK-based therapist with seven years of clinical experience who is curious about why people think, feel and behave as they do. She approaches each person’s experience as shaped by many factors - both nature and nurture - and recognises that everyone develops their own way of coping. When those coping strategies begin to take over, she works alongside clients to help them regain control of their life and relationships.
She holds a degree in Therapeutic Counselling awarded by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) and is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Carmen also holds a Diploma in Criminal Psychology and is qualified to work with both individuals and couples.
Alongside her private practice, Carmen volunteers with Cruse Bereavement Care. Her past roles include work with Gloucestershire Constabulary, the Gloucestershire NHS Eating Disorders Unit, and managing an employee well-being scheme. She specialises in supporting people with stress, anxiety, addictions, relationship difficulties, trauma and abuse, and grief, and works as a female therapist for those seeking that specific option.
