Brian Zayman greets people who are beginning therapy and acknowledges the commitment it takes to start. He is a licensed clinical social worker authorized to practice in both North Carolina and Nevada, holds a Master’s in Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work in Manhattan, and brings 26 years of professional experience to his practice.
Across a variety of treatment settings he has worked with individuals, teens, and couples to address concerns such as stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, depression, addictions, family conflicts, anger management, self-esteem, grief and loss, professional and vocational challenges, and coping with life changes. His work focuses on helping clients improve coping skills, mood regulation, problem-solving, and decision-making while shifting perspectives that may be holding them back.
Brian draws on a range of therapeutic approaches and tailors techniques to each person’s needs. He encourages active client participation - inviting people to set their own goals and regularly evaluate progress - and attends to physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of well-being. He maintains an informal, transparent, and open manner, invites any topic into the room, and aims to provide a safe, accepting space for exploration and growth.
He currently sees individuals over the age of 18 as well as couples. Weekday early morning appointments starting at 6:00 and daytime hours are available to accommodate different schedules. Current clients have noted the thoughtful, patient, and insightful nature of his approach and the meaningful progress they’ve made in therapy.
For many common concerns - including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes - online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. Research and clinical practice indicate that remote care often delivers comparable outcomes for these issues.
One major benefit is flexibility. People can connect with a therapist in the format that fits their life: video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging, which makes it easier to maintain consistency and integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and if someone feels a different fit would be helpful they can switch therapists at any time. For many individuals, this combination of clinical expertise and flexible access makes online therapy a practical and effective option for addressing everyday mental health concerns.
