Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Welcome!
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia with a breadth of experience working with adults and adolescents in various settings: individual, group, school, and university. I was a University Counselor for 8 years and taught college courses in Sport Psychology, Stress Management, and Health and Wellness. I also have experience working in the area of sexual violence prevention and have served as an advocate for survivors of sexual assault. I’ve worked with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship/interpersonal issues, career challenges, self-esteem/motivation, substance use, sexuality/LGBTQ concerns, stress management, and general adjustment. I understand how life experiences and transitions can increase stress and can have a significant impact on one’s overall health and well-being, relationships, or individual performance.
My counseling style is to create a warm, empathetic, safe space for clients to freely express their authentic selves. I work collaboratively with individuals to set and progress toward their therapeutic goals with a growth mindset. Counseling sessions focus on self-exploration and developing skills that will help individuals better understand and manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
My counseling approach is strength-based, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused. I incorporate various strategies depending on the unique needs of each individual, including motivational interviewing (finding internal motivation to make difficult life changes), mindfulness (paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgmentally), and ecotherapy (time spent in nature can reduce feelings of anxiety and depression, help regulate emotions, and provide life perspective). My role is to empower you to live a self-defined and value-driven life.
I believe that everyone has the ability to overcome struggles but that sometimes having additional support through counseling can help one to recognize and build upon the coping skills and strengths they already possess. Whether you are looking for clarity, insight, or symptom-relief and improved function, my goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. You have taken the first step toward making a positive change, and I look forward to helping you navigate your journey!

Many people question whether online therapy can produce meaningful results. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or coping with life transitions, research and clinical experience indicate that remote therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is the flexibility it offers – clients can connect in the format that fits their schedule and comfort level, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to maintain continuity of care amid busy lives.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they want a different fit. For many people, online therapy provides a practical, accessible way to pursue personal growth, manage symptoms, and work toward their goals.
