Annette Buswell is an integrative psychotherapist, NLP Master Practitioner, Coach and Hypnotherapist who also trained in Mindfulness and offers Mindful Relaxation Sessions. She works extensively with adults and young people in private practice and draws on a range of therapeutic approaches to explore what has been happening in a person’s life and to identify ways to create a healthier, more satisfying and more meaningful life.
She has experience supporting people with anxiety, stress and panic attacks, depression, bereavement, anger management, low self-esteem and self-confidence, trauma, relationship and family difficulties, self-harm and suicidal ideation, end of life issues and phobias. Her practice follows the BACP Ethical Framework, and she holds liability insurance and a DBS Certificate.
Annette offers both long and short-term integrative therapy. Her core training is rooted in a person-centred approach in which empathy and building rapport are central, allowing clients to work through difficulties at their own pace. A trusting, caring relationship outside one’s normal circle can provide the space needed to find a personal path forward.
Developing compassion and self-kindness is important to moving on, and Annette aims to help clients find inner calm and their own life direction. She values the importance of kindness and compassion in the therapeutic relationship and seeks to offer these qualities unconditionally. With her, clients can expect a safe, non-judgemental and empathic space in which to work through their needs.
For many common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or coping with life changes - online therapy has been found to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. This makes it a practical option for people seeking help for everyday mental health challenges.
One of the main benefits is flexibility. Clients can connect with therapists in the format that suits them best - through video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging - which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Each participating therapist is a licensed professional, and clients have the option to switch to a different therapist if they feel a different fit would be better. Online therapy can offer an accessible and adaptable way to work with a therapist while addressing common emotional and relationship concerns.
