Andrea Kelliher is a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of both the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and the National Society for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
She runs her own face-to-face practice and previously worked as a private therapist at The Awareness Centre in Tooting, London. Andrea also has experience in the NHS, working with Talk Wandsworth to provide face-to-face counselling for a range of concerns including social anxiety, depression, grief, suicidal ideation, relationship challenges and other presenting issues. She holds an HN Access Diploma in Social Work, a preparatory qualification for study and work in social care.
With three years of clinical experience, Andrea is known for warmth, authenticity and a relationship-focused approach. She supports clients to clarify therapeutic goals and believes a trusting relationship is central to exploring past experiences and shaping desired changes for the future. Honesty and a non-judgmental approach guide her work, and she aims to offer a safe, confidential space where clients can talk openly about their experiences.
Working integratively, Andrea draws on Person-Centered, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) theories to shape sessions to each person’s needs. She encourages a practical, goal-oriented outlook while helping clients identify the skills and resources they already have. By considering how past events influence day-to-day life, Andrea collaborates with clients to pinpoint a primary focus, make sense of current difficulties and seek a meaningful way forward.
