Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Sasha, and I am a holistic integrative psychotherapist and mindfulness coach.
I have lived in 4 countries, graduated 2 universities and worked in many different organisations before I opened my private practice (HERE4U Counselling & Psychotherapy). Now I often see international students and individuals, who relocated to Australia and are experiencing adaptation and adjustment challenges. Does not sound too intense, does it? Sooner or later everyone adapts, right? However, the grief and loss associated with changing countries can be quite profound, life-changing. It is important to address the feeling of loneliness and despair before it turns into depression. The same way it is important to learn to manage anxiety and fears, that often not only slow the process of adaptation down, but are very detrimental for overall health and wellbeing. Harmony at home and in relationships also needs to be achieved before anxiety and fear cripple it beyond the point of no-return.
So as much as I can – I help people do just that – get to a point where they experience harmony within themselves that allows them to be where they are, enjoy the present moment.
One client said to me at the end of one of our sessions “I feel like I am not just learning to acclimatise to a life in Australia but am becoming more confident to live the life I was meant to live, adapting to life.”
Another said “I never knew that a sense of relief can accompany grief and you normalised it for me in the most humane and kind way possible, I am truly grateful.”.
In a nutshell – I think outside the box and offer my clients a fresh perspective on things. My core values and the perspective I practise from are: Respect, Kindness and Safety. My personal and professional mantra is: People are what matters!
A creative person, in my spare time I enjoy painting, writing, singing, dancing, pets and nature.
I work with flexibility and honour individual differences of each human to help them feel safe, validated and heard.
I am passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health and help seeking!
I am here for you, you are not alone!
