Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi! My name is Amber Lynn Dicker and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina with over 4.5 years of experience working as a clinical mental health clinician who has specialized training as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) & a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I have worked with clients who struggle with various concerns including anxiety, depression, self-doubt, distorted thought processes, trauma responses, and family discord.
I would describe my approach as strengths based & goal oriented. I blend Cognitive Behavior Theory (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients identify what they would like to get out of their experience while building healthy coping skills to manage distress. The connection between our thoughts, behavior, and emotions is strong and can influence the way we view ourselves, our abilities, and the way we interact with others. It takes identifying our patterns of thought, breaking down our behavior, finding our motivation, and increasing our coping skills to tackle stressors in the most effective way and work toward healing.
I strive to be a supportive professional resource to help my clients make genuine positive life changes by using evidenced-based approaches. Addressing maladaptive behaviors or thought styles can be difficult, but that does not mean it has to be overwhelming or that you have to do it alone.

Amber Lynn Dicker is a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina with six years of experience working as a clinical mental health clinician. She holds national counselor certification and has specialized training as a clinical trauma professional, giving her additional expertise in trauma-related work.
She has supported people facing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, self-doubt, unhelpful thought patterns, trauma responses, and family discord. Her practice emphasizes clients’ strengths and clear goals, helping them build practical skills to manage distress and move toward meaningful change.
Amber integrates evidence-based methods—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—to help clients identify desired outcomes, examine how thoughts influence feelings and behavior, and develop healthier coping strategies. She focuses on breaking down unhelpful patterns, finding motivation for change, and strengthening skills that reduce the impact of stressors over time.
Throughout treatment she aims to be a steady professional resource, using structured, research-informed approaches to guide clients through challenging shifts in thinking and behavior. Addressing difficult patterns can feel overwhelming, but Amber works alongside clients so they do not have to face change on their own.
Many people wonder whether remote counseling really makes a difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or adapting to life changes, research and experience indicate that online therapy can be comparable to traditional in-person care for helping people make progress.
One major benefit is convenience. Clients can connect in whichever format feels most comfortable—video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging—making it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules and maintain continuity of care.
All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to request a different therapist if they feel a change would be a better fit. This flexibility, combined with a range of communication methods, helps many people access consistent support and work toward their goals from wherever they are.
