Hello! Welcome to BetterHelp Community. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 18 years. I earned a Masters Degree of Social Work in 2002 from Hunter College School of Social Work in Manhattan, specializing in children and family therapy. I have experience in both private practice and outpatient hospital settings. I enjoy working with people to resolve various life issues in order to help them obtain or restore confidence and fulfilling relationships. I specialize in working to empower my clients, both children and adults, and their families who may be experiencing relational or other obstacles, which may include, but not limited to trauma, divorce or separation, loss, mood disorders, anxiety, panic, self esteem issues, cultural diversity, and sexual orientation.
I do believe in a multidisciplinary approach, when necessary, to provide the most efficacious treatment. My training includes Cognitive behavioral therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Family systems and some Substance abuse training. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers. I’ve been a volunteer for Jewish Board of Family and Children services and I am School Social Work Certified.
I look forward to connecting with you. If you feel we are a good match, I also feel privileged to work with you and help you obtain your goals.

Many people ask whether remote therapy can produce meaningful results. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adapting to life changes, online therapy has been found to be comparable to traditional in-person care for effectiveness.
A major benefit is flexibility – clients can choose the format that fits their needs and schedule, including video sessions, phone appointments, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to integrate therapy into a busy life and maintain continuity of care.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients may change therapists if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. Online options expand access to qualified therapists while preserving the same range of therapeutic approaches typically available in person.
