Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi, my name is Angela Wilson Gardner. Before telling you more about me, let me commend you for taking this courageous step in seeking support through therapy as an avenue towards a healthier lifestyle.
I have 14 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and over 25 years of experience working therapeutically with children, youth, adults, and families. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from East Carolina University in 2006 and Bachelor of Human Development and Family Studies degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1996. I have a genuine spirit and have always known helping others is just as much my personal goal as well as my professional “calling”.
I recognize that seeking counseling is not an easy decision. It is my intention to provide clients with a judgement free space. At times it may be challenging but my purpose is to provide a feeling of comfort, which results in an informative and reflective process. As therapy can be intimidating for some, I try to provide clients with initial processes that will assist in building our therapeutic relationship. I recognize that sharing feelings and past experiences may make a client uncomfortable, sad, angry, overjoyed or embarrassed. All of those are not easy feelings to share, but I assure you these are certain elements that are a part of the process and helps personal growth. I encourage clients to be themselves each session and to express emotions and thoughts freely. As I mentioned, my job is to provide a judgement free space. I would be honored to walk this journey with you.

Angela Gardner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in North Carolina with nine years of professional therapy experience. She earned a Master of Social Work from East Carolina University in 2006 and a Bachelor of Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1996, and she brings that formal training to work with children, youth, adults, and families.
Angela approaches therapy with a genuine, compassionate manner and a long-held commitment to helping others. She understands that deciding to begin counseling takes courage, and she strives to create a nonjudgmental space where clients can explore feelings and past experiences at their own pace.
Her therapeutic aim is to offer comfort and guidance through an informative and reflective process. Angela prepares straightforward, approachable steps at the start of therapy to help build a strong working relationship, and she encourages clients to express emotions freely, whether those feelings are uncomfortable, sad, angry, joyful, or embarrassed.
She views her role as a supportive companion in the work of personal growth and would be honored to walk alongside clients as they navigate change and healing.
Many people wonder whether meeting with a therapist online can truly help. For typical concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or navigating life changes, virtual therapy has been found to work as effectively as traditional in-person care for most common issues.
One of the key benefits is flexibility – clients can choose the format that fits their life best, whether that is video sessions, phone appointments, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to access support without rearranging your whole schedule.
All therapists involved are licensed professionals, and if someone feels a different therapeutic fit would be better, it is possible to switch to another therapist at any time.
Online therapy can offer practical and accessible ways to address everyday mental health concerns while fitting into a busy life.
