Cindy integrates evidence-informed approaches such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, client-centered therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness practices, and solution-focused techniques. In work with clients facing addiction, trauma, and grief she also incorporates creative elements like song lyrics and songwriting when appropriate to the therapeutic goals.
She seeks to help people who struggle with recurring negative memories or repetitive unhelpful thoughts to re-author those narratives, make sense of difficult memories, and build healthier, more balanced ways of thinking and living. Cindy finds it an honor to collaborate with clients in creating that change and welcomes the opportunity to work together.
Many people wonder whether virtual counseling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can connect in the way that fits their routine and comfort level – via video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to access care and maintain consistency.
Therapists who provide online care are licensed professionals, and if the fit is not right clients may switch to a different therapist at any time.
Overall, online therapy can be a practical and effective option for many people seeking help with everyday mental health concerns and relationship issues, while offering convenient ways to engage in therapy without changing the quality of the therapeutic approach.
