Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello there.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 6 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and over 10 years of experience as a life coach. I have primarily worked with clients dealing with various concerns including depression and anxiety, self-esteem/self-worth, relationship issues, sexual orientation, and career challenges. I also aid in helping people deal with trauma from racial oppression and violence.
My counseling style is direct and caring, with you as the leader and expert of your experience. I meet you where you are and begin with strengthening the foundation you will build on. Whatever ideations, thoughts, and beliefs you currently have will be used and/or challenged in an environment that allows you to safely, freely, and openly express them. Aside from safety concerns, this is a completely judge free zone no matter the culture/subculture, gender, pronoun, or race. I create and uphold an environment of MUTUAL respect of boundaries and you are able to go at your pace. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, experiential, psychodynamic, and motivational-interviewing which would be tailored to your needs.
I believe in elevating the personal power within and guide you towards accessing that. Living in truth looks different for everyone. Let’s find out what it looks like, for you!

Jessica Mitchell is a licensed marriage and family therapist practicing in Texas with six years of clinical experience as a psychotherapist and more than ten years of experience as a life coach. She has worked primarily with people facing depression and anxiety, struggles with self-esteem and self-worth, relationship concerns, questions related to sexual orientation, career challenges, and trauma stemming from racial oppression and violence.
Her therapeutic approach is both direct and compassionate, with an emphasis on meeting each person where they are and treating the client as the expert on their own life. She begins by helping clients strengthen the foundation they will build on, and she uses the ideas, beliefs, and experiences that clients bring into sessions as material to explore or gently challenge in a safe, nonjudgmental space.
Jessica maintains an environment of mutual respect for boundaries and supports clients moving at a pace that feels right for them, regardless of culture, subculture, gender, pronoun, or race. She combines cognitive-behavioral techniques, experiential methods, psychodynamic insight, and motivational interviewing, tailoring these approaches to fit each person’s needs. She also focuses on helping people access and elevate their personal power so they can live in a way that feels truthful and authentic to them, and she invites clients to discover what living in truth looks like for themselves.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – you can meet with a therapist in the format that fits your schedule and comfort level, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility can make it easier to keep consistent appointments and integrate therapy into a busy life.
All therapists are licensed professionals, and if a different fit is desired, clients have the option to switch therapists. Online therapy can be a practical, accessible way to work on emotional and relational concerns while keeping the same standards of professional care you would expect from in-person treatment.
