Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to determine if we may be a good therapeutic match. I will share some background information so you can get to know me better. I am originally from the Midwest however I have called Arizona home for nearly 15 years. I have ten years of experience in my field and have worked in a variety of settings. I obtained my original licence (LMSW) in 2015 through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health and have since superseded to (LCSW) which allows for independent clinical practice. I earned my bachelors degree in 2011 and my masters degree from ASU in 2012 through the Advanced Standing Program. I am experienced in working with individuals who have undergone various traumas such as domestic violence, physical and emotional abuse, abandonment, grief/loss, extreme poverty, as well as those who struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and many other concerns.
I have always had a passion for helping others who are suffering for any reason. I have been described as down to earth, easy to connect with, empathetic, and goal oriented. My counseling style is authentic, strengths based, and nonjudgmental. I tend to take a holistic approach and believe mental health is just as important as physical health. Every single person goes through difficult times. We were not put on this earth to go through difficult times alone. I believe everyone has a purpose and is entitled to respect, dignity, and compassion. I am experienced in a wide range of therapeutic techniques and tend to individualize treatment based on specific needs. Since we all have unique needs and situations, I do not have a cookie cutter approach to treatment. I will collaborate with you to create a treatment plan that meet your needs.
You have already taken an important step in researching options to heal and/or cope with what you are going through. If you live in Arizona and are ready to get the ball rolling I am here to support and empower you. You do not have to go through it on your own. Seeking help when you need it is one of the most courageous things a person can do.
I am typically available weekdays 9-3. Better help allows for sessions up to 45 minutes. I am able to accommodate some requests for appointment times outside of my posted schedule on some occasions. In order to provide quality care in accordance with the licensing board and my professions code of ethics I will ask for your identifying information before providing treatment. (Betterhelp is international and does not share your information with counselors-and every state has different requirements). This remains in HIPAA compliance and I will not contact you outside of better help unless an emergency requires me to do so. This is for safety and documentation guidelines. You can review my licensing information on the AZ board of behavioral health website: www.azbbhe.us
Please reach out if you have any questions. I look forward to working with you!

Amanda Garcia is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Arizona who brings ten years of experience across a variety of clinical settings. Originally from the Midwest, she has made Arizona her home for nearly 15 years and combines that regional perspective with a decade of hands-on work supporting people through difficult circumstances.
She completed a bachelor’s degree in 2011 and earned a master’s degree from Arizona State University in 2012 through the Advanced Standing Program. Amanda obtained her initial social work license (LMSW) in 2015 through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health and later advanced to full clinical licensure as an LCSW, which permits independent clinical practice.
Amanda has experience working with individuals who have faced a range of traumas, including domestic violence, physical and emotional abuse, abandonment, grief and loss, and extreme poverty. She also supports people coping with depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and related concerns.
Her approach to counseling is authentic, strengths-based, and nonjudgmental, and she aims to be down-to-earth, easy to connect with, empathetic, and goal-oriented. Amanda favors a holistic view that values mental health alongside physical health and avoids a one-size-fits-all model. She individualizes treatment, collaborates with clients to develop tailored treatment plans, and uses a range of therapeutic techniques to meet each person’s specific needs.
Amanda recognizes that seeking help is an important and courageous step. She is available to support and empower Arizona residents who are ready to begin work on healing or coping with life’s challenges. Her typical availability is weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and sessions on the platform can run up to 45 minutes; she is sometimes able to accommodate requests for appointment times outside of her posted schedule.
In order to provide care that complies with licensing board requirements and professional ethics, Amanda will ask for identifying information before beginning treatment. The platform she uses is international and does not share identifying information with counselors – and every state has different requirements. Amanda follows these guidelines and will not contact clients outside of the platform unless an emergency requires it. For more information about her licensing, the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health website can be consulted at www.azbbhe.us.
If a client faces an emergency, Amanda advises calling 911. For urgent mental health needs that do not require 911, the 24/7 crisis line at 602-222-9444 is available. She welcomes questions and looks forward to working with those who choose to reach out.
Many people wonder whether virtual counseling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
A major benefit of remote therapy is flexibility. Clients can connect in the way that fits their life best – by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to attend consistently and integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
Licensed professionals provide online care, and clients can switch therapists if they feel a different fit would be better. This model supports access to experienced clinicians and an adaptable approach to treatment while maintaining professional standards.
For many people facing everyday mental health concerns, remote therapy offers an effective and convenient path to support and progress.
