Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. I have twenty years of therapeutic and mental health coaching experience. I support individuals to become successful who suffer from anxiety/depression, professional/academic problems, interpersonal conflicts, codependency problems, and much more.
My modality of treatment is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, and I use behavioral interventions. Together we will explore underlying thoughts and beliefs that contribute to lowered self-esteem and self-confidence. We will identify self-sabotaging, behaviors that hinder your success academically/professionally, and derail interpersonal relationships.
Every person struggles with issues. At some point in life, we all need support. The answer to your specific problem depends on you more than the problem. Your beliefs, personality, character, and environment all play a part in finding the correct solution. We will travel together, and you will find the best answer for you. I do not give you an answer to your particular issue or problem. Instead, I journey with you and explore new ideas and methods so that you can overcome difficult situations.

Laketia Carrell is a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in Missouri with twenty years of experience in therapy and mental health coaching. She works with individuals facing anxiety and depression, professional or academic challenges, family and interpersonal conflict, codependency, and related concerns.
Her therapeutic approach blends cognitive behavioral techniques, solution-focused strategies, client-centered methods, mindfulness practices, and behavioral interventions. In sessions she helps clients examine the thoughts and beliefs that erode self-esteem and confidence, and she identifies patterns of self-sabotage that interfere with academic or professional success and strain relationships.
Believing that everyone encounters struggles at times, she emphasizes a collaborative process that centers the client’s strengths, beliefs, personality, and environment when seeking solutions. Rather than handing down definitive answers, she accompanies clients on a shared journey of exploration, offering ideas and methods to help them move past difficult situations and find what works best for them. She holds Missouri licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor, a state credential that reflects her training and authorization to practice therapy.
Many people wonder whether connecting with a therapist online can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can meet with a therapist in the format that best fits their needs, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to integrate therapy into a busy schedule and to access support from home or elsewhere.
Sessions are delivered by licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be better. For many people, the convenience and adaptability of online therapy make it a practical and effective way to pursue mental health goals.
