Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
For many years I have worked in mental health supporting others when they felt they have needed it most. While I have many years of experience, for the last 3 years I have dedicated myself to counselling.
As a qualified person-centred counsellor my aim is to provide a safe and therapeutic environment in which those I work with can flourish and grow. With a love for mindfulness and creativity I can offer a range of interventions within sessions.
A more recent role in creative recovery in the community, I have adapted a flexible and creative approach, allowing me to meet the individual needs in the moment. I have been able to utilise these skills within a school setting having been a school counsellor for the last nine months.
My work with adults and children has enriched my skills and has given me a sound knowledge in alternative ways of exploring issues that clients may face.

Emily Hodson has spent many years working in mental health, supporting people at times when they have felt they needed it most, and for the last three years she has been dedicated specifically to counselling. She is a qualified person-centred counsellor – a therapeutic approach that focuses on creating a safe, non-judgemental space in which the person’s own resources and autonomy are respected.
With a strong interest in mindfulness and creativity, Emily incorporates a range of interventions into sessions and has developed a flexible, creative way of working that allows her to respond to individual needs in the moment. In a recent role in creative recovery in the community she refined this adaptive approach, and she has applied those skills while working as a school counsellor for the past nine months.
Her work with both adults and children has broadened her skills and given her practical knowledge of alternative ways to explore issues. Emily specialises in trauma and abuse, grief, parenting support, self-esteem and depression, and she offers non-religious, female-led counselling from her practice in the United Kingdom.
