Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello,
My name is Abby. And I’m here to help you get through tough times. I am passionate about helping you thrive. I have a particular interest when it comes to supporting people who lack confidence, within themselves, in social settings, performance and in their relationships. This is something I have personally struggled with in my past which has driven me to learn, change and grow.
I have been trained integratively, meaning I use aspects of a variety of theories. I have also had additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, which is great for when you get stuck in a rut and repeat unhelpful patterns and want effective and practical techniques to break the cycles.
In contrast to using techniques and strategies, I believe that the therapeutic connection between client and therapist can be just as powerful or even more so and this will always be at the centre of my work with you. A strong therapeutic relationship allows you to feel supported, which in turn opens the door to deeper and transformative work.
I am able to work with mild to moderate anxiety and depression.
Therapy with me may look like…
. What growing up was like for you, as how we received care in our early years can shape us into the adults we are today
. Exploring the impact of your situation from aspects of the mind, emotions, body and behaviour
. Creating a working relationship where you feel seen, heard and comfortable being uncomfortable in sharing challenging or emotional event or life stories
. Together working out ways to develop healthier ways of being, either in communication, lifestyle, self love, relationships or mindset. This could be using worksheets to facilitate awareness and change.
. Sessions will be what you make it. While I can offer some structure they will always be led by you. I will use my intuition, knowledge and experience to help you through each path you take. Meaning, some sessions maybe exploring deeper a meaning of things while others maybe more collaborative and working out together how to change things.
I hope you have found this useful in getting to know a little about me and how I work.
Warm wishes
Abby
Please note, first sessions are normally an introduction, taking details, assessments and talking about goals and expectations.
