Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a registered counsellor with The British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists in the UK. I use a Client-Centred approach to put you at the centre of the counselling process, allowing you to set your own agenda and work at your own pace. I am passionate about helping people through counselling to empower themselves in order to improve their wellbeing and quality of life. I can work with you to find the right way for you.
I am experienced in helping clients with anxiety & low mood, low confidence / self-esteem, relationship issues, work related issues, bereavement, loss & grief, life transitions such as aging, menopause, retirement, significant birthdays, and personal development. I have helped many clients to improve their wellbeing and to feel better.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the City with professionals under high pressure, and later in academia, supporting students, academics, and my own members of staff. These experiences taught me how to understand what people need when they’re feeling overwhelmed, and how to help them find their way forward. It also means I’m familiar with the demands of corporate and academic work.
My counselling experience includes working with Mind, both as a bereavement counsellor and with people struggling with anxiety and depression. I’m currently working with BetterHelp, Mind’s Dove Private Service, and my own private practice in order to help clients through life’s challenges.
Thanks to my experience working with a variety of people as a counsellor, I understand that you may be seeking counselling at a point in your life where you may feel overwhelmed, anxious, low, or simply in need of a space to work through your thoughts or feelings. It may be that you don’t know if counselling will help. I can only say, both from personal experience and the people I have had the pleasure to support, that you can find hope and a new way forward.
I know it can be hard to talk about what is troubling you and to make that first step to reach out and ask for help. I will listen to you without judgment, with empathy, kindness, and care. Allowing you the opportunity to talk openly in a safe and confidential space so you can work through and explore the issues you are experiencing. If something is troubling you then no problem is too small.
