Jerome (Jerry ) Vobejda

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Reaching out for help can be an intimidating endeavor, but having the awareness that your life is not where you want it to be is a great first step. While I generally focus on the present, as we cannot change things that have already happened, we may look to the past in our search for previous success in managing the issues before you. I believe the trust built between client and therapist is the most important aspect in the counseling relationship and the pursuit and maintenance of this trust is an ongoing process. Whether you have been struggling for years or experiencing a new obstacle, I believe we can work through the concerns together. The strength it takes to ask for help is the same strength that will lead you to happiness.

I completed my Master’s of Science in Counseling from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 2005. I have been working as a mental health therapist for nearly 19 years in Nebraska. I have experience working with individuals, couples and families struggling with a variety of issues, such as anxiety and depression, trauma, anger management, life transitions and infidelity. I believe I bring a multi-faceted perspective to my work, as I have professional experience with inpatient care, case management, as well as outpatient therapy. Typically, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused and Motivational Interviewing while always stressing the importance of building the relationship between client and therapist based on trust, mutual respect, and unconditional positive regard.

I look forward to the opportunity to help people with life issues that have left them unsatisfied. Our growth is a life-long journey and sometimes we lean on others in pursuit of our true potential. My hope is that I can assist people on their path when they are looking for guidance.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people want to know whether remote counseling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions. A major benefit is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that fits their lives and comfort level, whether by video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options can make it easier to maintain consistency and integrate therapy into a busy schedule. Licensed professionals provide online care, and if a client feels another therapist might be a better fit, it is possible to switch. For many people seeking support with everyday mental health challenges, online therapy offers a practical and effective route to receiving professional help.
