Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a accredited counsellor with the National Counselling Society in the UK, with 4 years of experience. I achieved my Bachelor Degree with Honours in Psychology at Aston University, and then went on to successfully complete my Masters in Counselling at Worcester University. I have also been trained in Life Coaching as well, which I use to support my clients while we are working together. Previously, I have worked with clients who have problems with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, disruptive behavioural patterns, OCD, addictions and phobias. Myself and the client have worked together to discuss and approach these issues while in sessions.
My approach to counselling is primarily cognitive and person centred therapy and mindfulness, but I do incorporate other approaches such as psychodynamic approach into our sessions. The approach will be discussed with you, in regards to what you would like to achieve and get out of the counselling sessions. Respect and compassion is a large part of the therapeutic relationship, and all my clients are treated with warmth, integrity and compassion, always. Communication is also key, and I am always available to listen to any issues you are having within the session itself. The whole counselling sessions are tailored to meet your unique and specific needs, to ensure that your journey down this healing path is as efficient and easy as possible for you.
Taking the first step into therapy can be a scary and confusing time to many. I hope to hear from you and start the journey together.

Shannon Hart is an accredited counsellor with the National Counselling Society in the UK and has four years of professional experience. She holds a Bachelor degree with Honours in Psychology from Aston University and a Masters in Counselling from Worcester University, and she has also completed training in Life Coaching which she integrates into her work with clients.
Shannon supports people with a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, trauma and abuse, grief, depression, coping with life changes, addictions, OCD, phobias, disruptive behavioural patterns, relationship and family issues, intimacy-related difficulties, sleeping problems, parenting challenges, anger, low self-esteem and compassion fatigue. She also works with LGBT clients and offers an affirming approach as a female, gay, non-religious, liberal therapist.
Her therapeutic practice is primarily informed by cognitive and person-centred approaches alongside mindfulness, with selective use of psychodynamic techniques when appropriate. The choice of methods is discussed with each client so that sessions align with their goals and what they wish to achieve from counselling.
Respect, warmth and integrity are central to Shannon’s therapeutic relationship. She aims to provide compassionate care, tailoring sessions to each person’s unique needs and emphasising clear communication during therapy. Recognising that beginning counselling can feel daunting, she seeks to create a supportive environment for people to begin their healing journey together.
For many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes, online therapy has been found to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. This makes remote counselling a viable option for people seeking support for everyday mental health challenges.
One of the main advantages is flexibility – clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. That versatility helps make it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule and to maintain continuity of care when meeting in person is difficult.
Each therapist available is a licensed professional, and clients have the option to switch to a different therapist if they need a better match. For many people, online therapy provides an accessible, effective route to receiving consistent support.
