I am a marriage and family therapist licensed in in Utah with over 30 years of experience working in clinical practice. I received my masters degree in Marriage and Family therapy from Colorado State University in 1993. I work with clients who experience a wide range of symptoms and concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, and ADHD. I have also worked with many people who have experienced trauma and emotional abuse.
My most recent work has been with adolescent who have struggle with pre-adoption trauma.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don’t believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach focuses on strategic therapies to become our future selves and not be trapped in the past. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

Rodney “Rod” Mayes is a marriage and family therapist licensed in Utah (UT LMFT 9722153-3902) with more than 30 years of clinical practice. He earned his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Colorado State University in 1993.
He works with people who experience a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, and ADHD. He has also supported many individuals who have endured trauma and emotional abuse, and his most recent work has focused on adolescents struggling with pre-adoption trauma.
