Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
There are seasons in life that are very unpredictable, 2020 for example! If you are finding that the last few months, weeks, maybe even years have been full of overwhelming amounts of change, transition and uncertainty, your are not alone. I understand the uncertainty of life can cause depression, anxiety, and unresolved traumas to arise. In every client I have ever seen, trauma has been experienced and expressed in different ways. My goal is to assist you with getting to the heart of the issues you are enduring, while embracing the resiliency and strength it took for you to make it this far. Emotional healing and relief is near.
I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, & trauma and abuse. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
I specialize in trauma-informed care and practice a modality called Brainspotting. Brainspotting is a modality that focuses on healing the brain and the body. I also specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy, which is a modality that is utilized when working with couples.
Racial and religious traumas cause dysregulation in our bodies, minds, and hearts. Many of my clients have been touched by the Department of Social Services & affected by the foster care system and the church universal. Sessions often focus on past trauma, triggers, attachment issues, affects of transracial adoptions, addictions, and substance abuse.

Jessica Criner is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California (CA LMFT 140356) with seven years of clinical experience. She works with people navigating overwhelming change, transition, and uncertainty, acknowledging how those seasons of life can bring up depression, anxiety, and unresolved trauma.
Jessica approaches therapy from a trauma-informed perspective and aims to identify the core issues clients are facing while recognizing the resilience it took to arrive at therapy. She provides support for stress and anxiety, relationship concerns, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, and self-esteem challenges.
Her clinical practice includes specialized training in Brainspotting, a modality that attends to healing in both the brain and the body, and Emotionally Focused Therapy, which she uses when working with couples. Jessica has worked with many clients who have been involved with the Department of Social Services, affected by the foster care system, and influenced by experiences within the church universal.
Sessions commonly address past trauma, triggers, attachment difficulties, the effects of transracial adoption, addictions, and substance abuse. Jessica identifies as a therapist of color and as a female clinician and offers care to people across religious and political identities – including Christian and non-religious clients, as well as conservative and liberal clients. She focuses on helping clients move toward emotional healing and relief.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or managing life transitions – online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person treatment. It has been shown to produce comparable outcomes for these typical issues.
A major benefit of remote therapy is flexibility. People can meet with a therapist in the format that works best for them, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options often makes it easier to schedule care around work, family, and other obligations.
Therapists who offer online services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they need a different fit. For many individuals, virtual therapy provides practical access to consistent mental health support without sacrificing the therapeutic quality of care.
