Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hi, I am Christyn “Christy” Jaap, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am licensed in Texas with 5 years of counseling experience. I have also worked in the school setting for 8 years, first as a teacher and coach then as a counselor.
I have found I really enjoy working with children and adolescents, as they struggle with many issues that are tough to work through. These issues may include self-esteem, confidence, motivation, trauma, abuse, and relationship issues. Although I have worked with children and adolescents quite a bit, I enjoy working with adults as well. I have experience working with clients who need help with working through trauma, abuse, self-perception, relationship issues, grief, and loss.
I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. You have taken that first step, and I am here to support & empower you in your journey to a better future.

Many people wonder whether online therapy can really help. For a range of common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility. Clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether that is through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to fit therapy into busy schedules.
All participating therapists are licensed professionals, and clients may choose to switch therapists at any time if they want a different fit. Online therapy offers a convenient option for many people seeking support with everyday mental health concerns.
