I have held leadership positions within non-profits, training and supervising programs for crisis response, commercial sexual exploitation of children mentoring and crisis prevention, and protective placements for adults who are vulnerable due to their disabilities. I work administratively in residential treatment, supervising and utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I have years of experience doing counseling out of outpatient clinics and within I have 8 years of professional counseling experience.
My experiences in helping individuals ranges with trauma, substance use, co-occurring disorders, stress and anxiety, anger management, & depression. I also have experience working with coping with life changes.
I became interested in counseling because I believe in the power of healing through engaging relationships and the importance of having feedback from someone else who is skillful to help support and guide one’s path for a healthier, happier life. I incorporate these beliefs in my work with my individuals to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I utilize, teach and support mindfulness practice to be present with individuals, empathize in their suffering and guide them through difficult experiences. I believe you are the expert on you, and empowering you to be assertive. It’s my role to help you meet the goals you have set for yourself. Therapy is an incredibly rewarding experience, and yet it is very difficult. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started! When you are ready, its a journey we can experience together.

Many people wonder whether virtual counseling can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can meet with a therapist in the format that best fits their needs, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it simpler to incorporate therapy into a busy schedule.
Therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and clients may change therapists if they prefer a different match. For many people, the combination of professional care and adaptable communication methods makes online therapy a viable and practical option for addressing common mental health concerns.
