Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 7 years of experience working with co-occurring disorders in a residential and outpatient setting. Recently, I have transitioned back to an outpatient setting in efforts to share skills and knowledge with individuals in need outside of a rehabilitation facility. My main gravitation is towards clients with substance abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorders as well as select personality disorder diagnoses. I also have a history supporting clients with stress management and general coping skills, ADHD, and change of life issues (moving, loss, handling world stress).
I aim to educate and empower my clients in their mental health journey using skills and support based out of cognitive behavioral as well as dialectical behavioral therapies balanced with solution focused, strength based, motivational interviewing, and a client centered approaches.
It is my priority to meet every client’s needs with the compassion, respect, and understanding they deserve while also being able to be honest and challenging when it is needed. My goal as a therapist is to enable a client to succeed for themselves, with themselves so that eventually (whenever that day comes) they don’t need my help in the same manner as before. I believe my clients are competent, capable individuals with a desire to get better; the best thing I can do is armor them with enough skills/training/progress to be able to stay that way for as long as they so choose.
I am excited to go on this journey together!

Kaitlin Bowen is a licensed mental health counselor in Florida with seven years of experience working with co-occurring disorders in both residential and outpatient settings. She recently moved back into outpatient care to share skills and knowledge with people who need support outside of a rehabilitation facility.
Her practice is oriented toward individuals coping with addictions, trauma, anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, as well as certain personality disorder presentations. She also has experience supporting stress management, general coping skills, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and life changes such as moving or loss and managing widespread life stress.
Kaitlin centers her work on education and empowerment, drawing primarily from cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. She blends those approaches with solution-focused techniques, strength-based perspectives, motivational interviewing, and a client-centered stance to tailor care to each person’s needs.
Meeting clients with compassion, respect, and understanding is a priority, while also offering honest feedback and appropriate challenge when it will help progress. She believes clients are competent and capable, and she is committed to helping them build and maintain the progress they choose to pursue. Kaitlin is enthusiastic about partnering with people as they work toward their goals.
