Zuzanna Horowska

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

If you feel that you need any support, you are welcome to contact me.
I am an experienced, qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor. It means I can use approaches which best suits each client needs. I pay attention to unconscious processes and what is being held in client’s body. I also believe that therapeutic relationship is crucial in making change in your perception of environment and how you relate to others. Thinking, sensing, intuiting, feeling are all given great importance within the therapeutic relationship. And it is important for me to create warm, confidential, safe and empathetic environment where client will feel comfortable to share their problems, without being judged or criticised.

Therapy can help to:

-deepen your understanding of yourself to gradually heal patterns of relating that are holding you back from the intimacy that you want
-learn to communicate your feelings and needs more effectively
-gain greater awareness how past impact your present
-grow your confidence, self-esteem
-gain different perspective of your experiences and environment
-to relieve your emotional pain
-to overcome fear, anxiety
-to live more balanced and peaceful life

I offer relational approach to therapy. Main approaches in my work are: Psychodynamic, Object-relations, Transactional Analysis. I integrate Gestalt and I can use some body work exercises. I am also trained in CBT and I can apply some techniques when appropriate.

Counselling is not only about listening to stories told by a client, but also helping a client to find a way to tolerate his/her feelings, experiences. To achieve this I can work in a creative way with clients and I can use some therapeutic tools or give some homework.

I have worked with clients from different background and presenting with a wide range of issues, such as: cancer, abuse, trauma, panic attacks, stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, having relationships, work problems.

Alongside my private practice I have also experience at:

Macmillan Cancer Support,
Woman & Health – charity delivering NHS IAPT services,
EACH – charity delivering Counselling to people having drug and alcohol problems.

About

Zuzanna Horowska is a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor with four years of experience, practising in the United Kingdom. She works flexibly across therapeutic methods to suit each person’s needs, paying particular attention to unconscious processes and experiences held in the body. The relationship between therapist and client is central to her practice, and she values thinking, sensing, intuiting and feeling equally within the work.

She aims to create a warm, safe and empathetic space where clients can explore their concerns without judgement or criticism. Therapy with her can deepen self-understanding to gently heal patterns of relating that block desired intimacy, improve the ability to communicate feelings and needs, increase awareness of how the past influences the present, build confidence and self-esteem, broaden perspective, relieve emotional pain, work through fear and anxiety, and support a more balanced, peaceful life.

Zuzanna offers a relational approach drawing mainly on Psychodynamic, Object-relations and Transactional Analysis, while integrating Gestalt and using some bodywork exercises where helpful. She is also trained in CBT and applies specific techniques when appropriate. For her, counselling involves more than listening to stories – it is helping people to tolerate and process feelings and experiences, often using creative methods, therapeutic tools and occasional homework.

She has worked with people from diverse backgrounds presenting a wide range of issues, including cancer, abuse, trauma, panic attacks, stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship difficulties and work-related problems. Alongside private practice, Zuzanna has experience with Macmillan Cancer Support, Woman & Health (a charity delivering NHS IAPT services) and EACH (a charity providing counselling to people with drug and alcohol problems). Zuzanna is a female, older, non-religious and liberal therapist.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people wonder whether speaking with a therapist online can make a meaningful difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges and navigating life changes, online therapy has been found to be as effective as traditional in-person work for most people.

One major benefit is flexibility – people can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone, live chat or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life and to choose the communication style that feels most comfortable.

Therapists offering online work are licensed professionals, and if someone decides another therapist would be a better fit they can switch at any time. Overall, online therapy offers an accessible, adaptable option for addressing many everyday mental health and relationship concerns.
