Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am licensed in Mississippi with 30 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, eating disorders, anger management, motivation, self esteem, and confidence. My philosophy of therapy is to support and encourage the concept that clients have tremendous potential to change and grow. The goal of therapy is to aid clients in identifying and unleashing their potential and subsequently their potential to change. My theoretical orientation is a Cognitive Behavioral/Solution Focused approached with emphasis on changing both thought patterns and behaviors. A cognitive behavior therapy approach is utilized to carefully measure what the person is doing and then seeks to increase changes for positive experience. Solution Focused explores ones current resources and skills that can help them create change to reach their personal goals. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

Dr. Yolanda McDade is a Mississippi-based therapist with 30 years of professional experience who supports adults facing challenges such as stress, anxiety, eating disorders, anger management, low motivation, self-esteem and confidence concerns, and depression.
She holds a Master of Science and is a licensed professional counselor in Mississippi (LPC 1476). Her work centers on helping people identify and unlock their capacity for change and personal growth, with a focus on practical strategies that produce measurable results.
Dr. McDade integrates a Cognitive Behavioral approach with Solution-Focused techniques, emphasizing shifts in both thought patterns and day-to-day behaviors. Her cognitive behavioral work looks closely at what a person is doing and seeks to increase behaviors that create more positive experiences. The solution-focused side draws out the tools and strengths a person already has to move toward clearly defined goals.
She views each person as the expert of their own story and builds on individual strengths to address the issues that interfere with well-being. Dr. McDade understands that beginning therapy can require courage, and she takes pride in clients who take that first step toward change.
Many people ask whether remote therapy can make a meaningful difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
One significant benefit is flexibility. Individuals can connect with a therapist in the format that fits their needs and schedule – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which can make it easier to maintain regular sessions.
These services are provided by licensed professionals, and if a different therapeutic fit is needed, it is possible to switch therapists. Online therapy offers a practical option for many people seeking support while balancing other commitments.
