I am a BACP Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist (BSc Psychology, London) based near Virginia Water in Surrey and have over fourteen years experience working with both teenagers and adults. Previous counselling settings have included a boarding school and a psychological support service for young people in Bracknell, Berkshire.
I offer professional psychological support in a dependable, calm and confidential environment, where you will have an opportunity to explore your feelings and to understand yourself and your life from a different perspective. The aim is reduce confusion and to enable you to make informed choices, manage challenges, or to make positive changes.
My integrative training and approach includes person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy. I support clients with a variety of issues, including PTSD and CPTSD, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, loss, loneliness and low self-esteem.
I offer an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I am mindful to hold an awareness of my client’s view of the world.
I spent several years working both in the UK and abroad as a news broadcaster in radio and television. This gave me lots of experience in working with people from all over the world, both in teams and also alone.
My experience has attracted a number of clients from various cultures, who have said they found it helpful that I am understanding of religious and cultural differences and show a respect for others’ societal norms.
