Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello, and welcome to Better Help! My name is Tina Parcell, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Virginia with over 25 years of experience helping individuals address and overcome life’s challenges. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia and I am a transplant to Virginia having been raised in Upstate New York. Over the past 25 years as a clinician, my experience has taught me that the most important aspect of receiving help, and benefiting from it, is by far the connection and comfort you feel with the person you choose to share your struggles with. I believe it’s very important to be open-minded and non-judgmental when someone shares their personal story or experiences with me. I will tailor our work together and the plan we develop to meet your individual and identified needs. I’ve worked in many different settings with individuals and families who have a variety of personal issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, family problems, trauma/abuse, relationships/parenting and more. I believe we can all grow through challenging experiences by increasing our self-awareness, and developing realistic strategies that result in desired change.
It takes courage to seek assistance for a more fulfilling and happier life, and to take the first step towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower as you move forward. It would be my privilege to be that person for you.
I look forward to working with you! You are welcome to message me anytime through BetterHelp.

Many people ask whether online therapy truly helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility – individuals can connect with a therapist in the format that fits their needs, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to integrate therapy into a busy schedule.
Therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch providers if they would prefer a different fit. For many people, the combination of clinical expertise and convenient access makes online therapy a practical choice for addressing everyday mental health concerns.
