Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Counselling is a personal journey and one which sometimes takes a lot for a person to start. As such, finding the right Counsellor that you feel you can create a connection with is important. So here is a little bit about myself and my history.
I have been offering Counselling in one form or another for the past six years. My journey on this path began as a volunteer for the Samaritans where I developed my passion for helping people through listening and reflection. Since my volunteer days, I decided that counselling was the vocation for me and so I began my formal training so that I can help people full time.
I offer counselling through an approach which is person or client led. This means that sessions revolve around you and what you bring to them. By working with what you bring, at your own pace, offering reflections in a safe and confidential environment, we are able to work together to implement interventions and solutions which are all the more powerful because they come from you.

Counselling is a personal journey and it can be difficult to take the first step; finding a counsellor with whom one feels able to form a connection matters. Thomas Hewitt provides a brief outline of his background to help people decide whether he may be the right fit.
He has been offering counselling in one form or another for the past six years. His journey began as a volunteer with the Samaritans, where listening and reflection helped him develop a passion for supporting others. Following those volunteer experiences he chose counselling as his vocation and began formal training so that he could practise full time.
Thomas works from a person-led approach – sessions centre on the client and what they bring. By moving at each client’s pace and offering reflective input within a safe and confidential setting, he collaborates with clients to implement interventions and solutions that are more meaningful because they emerge from the client’s own experience.
Many people ask whether online therapy can truly make a difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the main advantages is flexibility – individuals can connect with a therapist in the way that suits them best, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Therapists who offer online sessions are licensed professionals, and clients may change therapists if they prefer a different fit.
